The brand new base in Hong Kong sees Guernsey Finance expand its international presence, following the opening of its Shanghai office in 2008. The office is designed to help Guernsey Finance extend its promotional activities to the wider South East Asia market and will also be used by Guernsey’s financial regulator, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
Mark will be joined on the panel by Marcus Leese, Partner at legal services provider Ogier; John Wong, Tax Partner and Hong Kong & China National Leader at PWC; William Mason, Director General of the GFSC and Andrew Chan, Head of Trust and Fiduciary Services for the Greater China region at Standard Chartered.
The panel debate, moderated by respected Hong Kong current affairs commentator, Michael Chugani, will focus on the current economic climate and Guernsey's international finance sector.
The event is also set to include a keynote speech from Lord Howard Flight, a member of the House of Lords and Commissioner of the GFSC.
