The presentation, the first in this year’s theme of growth and enterprise, detailed the importance of personal flourishing in all aspects of life to achieving business success.
A director of Startup Guernsey, Mrs Kazantseva has previously worked for Google and L’Oréal as well as launching several start-up ventures herself.
Having lived and worked all over the world, Mrs Kazantseva said that it was settling in Guernsey and starting a family that prompted her to consider her own personal happiness.
Reading books on self-improvement, such as Mason Currey’s Daily Rituals, led Mrs Kazantseva to evaluate what changes she could make in her personal life to maximise her chances of business success.
She said: “There’s always something different you can do to be happier. You have to find out what works for you and do it. I exercise every day and I made a conscious effort to commit to that.”
Mrs Kazantseva revealed that her creativity had flourished through making space in her life to grow and attain happiness and advised all those present to do the same.
She said: “The most important investment you can make right now is you. Growth and enterprise can only be achieved through you; you are the secret ingredient.”
