Ambant Underwriting Services (AUS), the City of London headquartered MGA launch and host specialist, has confirmed the appointment of Chris Butcher as Chief Executive Officer. The Heritage Group is a shareholder in AUS, having taken a 33% investment in the firm in February 2015.
Chris Butcher says: “Now is the ideal time to join this successful and forward thinking firm. My goal is to build on AUS’s great strengths and we’re looking to extend our market offering. Then we can serve our clients even better and help more MGAs to launch easily, successfully and compliantly – and support them as they grow.”

Mr Butcher comes from a strong insurance and reinsurance background. He was formerly a board director at Cooper Gay and previously held director level posts with AXA and Navigators Group.
City of London headquartered MGA launch and host specialist AUS boasts 11 MGA clients with a £100m gross written premium forecast turnover for 2015. It is known for its ability to take MGAs to launch speedily and cost effectively as well as for its expert post-launch guidance and support.
