EU Insurance / Reinsurance Companies : Kevin Rye

Kevin joined the National Farmers’ Union Mutual and Avon Insurance Group in 1975, specialising in liability insurance and becoming responsible for the underwriting of the Avon’s liability accounts.

In 1990 he joined Risk Management Ltd’s Isle of Man office, moving to the firm’s Head Office in Guernsey in 1992, where he became Managing Director. In 2004, the Heritage Group acquired RML and Kevin has since been responsible for the design and placement of major reinsurance programmes in the international markets. In 2009 he relocated to Gibraltar to head up Heritage’s office there.

Kevin is a past Chairman of the Guernsey Insurance Company Management Association, which represents the interests of captive owners and industry in Guernsey. He also sits on a number of Guernsey insurance company boards.

Kevin is a keen golfer.

Kevin is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
